If you’ve never been to a Vineyard Church or any Church before, you may not know what to expect. Hopefully the following info will help you understand what to expect on a Sunday.

What to Expect

Come as you are, you’re welcome to wear what you feel most comfortable in - most of us will be casually dressed. Come from 10.00am, join us for a tea/coffee and some snacks (all on us) before we get started.

At 10.30am, we’ll start with a welcome, followed by about 20 to 30 minutes of songs which we call worship. This will be led from the front by a small band. All the words will be on the screens so you won’t need to bring anything. Most people will stand during this time - you’re welcome to sit or stand, however you feel most comfortable.

Following this, children aged 5 - 11, will leave us for Children’s Church while we all listen to a talk (that lasts for around 20 to 25 minutes) based around the Bible. We will look at what this means for us and how do we apply this to our lives. We will then have a chance for anyone to be prayed for, towards the end of the service.

A service normally lasts around one and a half hours.

Our Youth (aged 11 - 17) meet every Sunday at the Church building on Salt Yard from 5pm til 7pm.

There is lots to get involved with in the church apart from Sundays. We have weekly Small Groups, prayer meetings, Baby Basics, CAP, our town centre cafe and our vintage shop Hope and Glory as well as socials and plenty of other events over the year.

If you have any questions or to get involved, please get in contact with us.

We look forward to seeing you soon!
