Compassion

We love to show our town and beyond the love of Jesus in practical ways. See below for how we do this:

Vineyard Café Bar

Vineyard Café

We love our town and want to serve people living here.

Set in the heart of our town, at Vineyard Café we serve great coffee, cakes and great food in a setting where you’re not rushed and there is always a listening ear if needed.

Everything we serve is ethically sourced, slave trade free and as plastic free as we can.

We might be biased, but we think it’s the best coffee, cake and food in town! ;)

Lead by Jonny Hoggett our amazing cafe manager alongside an amazing team of volunteers and Monika who heads up our kitchen.

You’ll find more information on our café Facebook page.

Hope & Glory

Hope & Glory is our vintage shop, set in the heart of Darlington.

Hope & Glory has been established to create a unique shopping experience through a vibrant selection of items that focus on the premise of rework - reuse - restore

Lisa and Phil have seen first hand the factories that produce fast fashion and have worked with women who have worked there under inhumane conditions.

We believe that fabrics, colour and individual style are a wonderful way to bring life in more ways than one and so any monies from this shop will be used to fund our art and craft workshops upstairs to help heal people suffering trauma and anxiety and to support artisan weavers from Myanmar and other developing countries.

We want this shop to complement and be a part of the restoration of Darlington in our own small way.

From our bright exterior, to our love of colour, individuality and creative clothing, we hope we have a lovely place to browse and buy into a longevity of items and an investment in your own unique and personal style.

It is our dream that purchases will bring us all together to do our part for the planet, to combat slave labour and to bring restoration and hope to our glorious Darlington. We will also begin to offer a larger creative space at Salt Yard which will be easily accessible to the community and provide a community space to meet, share, create and have coffee.

Arts and Crafts Course

Our arts and crafts course is a creative arts course for women - with a difference.

We believe that good can come from negative and difficult experiences. Using themed craft projects, these projects encourage women to reflect on their lives and set out on a personal journey from brokenness to hope.

Each cohort is made up of women who are referred from other care giving agency’s providing support.

Baby Basics

Baby Basics provides much needed essentials and equipment to mothers and families who are unable to provide these items for themselves; including but not limited to teenage mums, people seeking asylum and women fleeing domestic abuse and trafficking.

Everyone in need is referred in from various agency’s around the region. As we move everything into our larger space, we will begin to expand how we can help families across Darlington and beyond.

You can follow up to date information on Baby Basics on our Facebook Page.

Christians Against Poverty (CAP) Life Skills

CAP Life Skills is a friendly group that gives people the confidence and decision making skills they need to survive life on a low income. We teach people practical money saving techniques, such as cooking on a budget, living healthily on less, and making your money go further.

Our next course is starting on 12 Sept 23, at Darlington Vineyard Church, Salt Yard, Dl3 7JJ, free parking on site.

We will be open from 9.30 am for breakfast along with coffee/tea etc

The 90 minute course content will be 10.00am till 11.30am. Each participant will have the opportunity to sign up for a weekly one to one coaching session.

Overseas Support

At Darlington Vineyard we’re passionate about overseas mission and believe that world missions is an important part of the Kingdom of God.

Currently we support overseas missionaries as they Church plant in SE Asia, locals in SE Asia as they Church plant and love their communities and we sponsor a child in India through Love the One.

Love the One, itself as a concept, exists to stand alongside poor, abused, orphaned, exploited and marginalised children in India. One child at a time.
